Alan Rickman - Truly Madly Deeply

I miss and am still mourning actor Alan Rickman who died this past January. This is a favorite moment, a song from the movie Truly Madly Deeply, which seems apropos, missing Alan, here performing with Juliet Stevenson. "The sun ain't gonna shine anymore" but there IS some sunshine on YouTube.

Aereo.com

Thanks to Consumer Reports
magazine, I have discovered Aereo.com which provides me the missing arial for my aged TV whose converter box which had provided broadcast channels bit the dust. I mostly watch online but it is great to be able to catch an awards show or other special, plus it records and it plays on Roku, my computer AND my phone. There is a Utah case going to the Supreme Court because the other companies want to squelch competition. Nonsense. Broadcast TV on the public air waves is my right whatever device or company assists me. Good luck, AREO.

Laughing Liberally @JimmysNo43

Had a great Friday night in the East Village at the Laughing Liberally comedy lab show. I so needed the laughter. I re-tweeted performer Abbi Crutchfield's tweet:

I am grateful to @NicoleSandler of RadioOrNow.com for introducing me (via her great show and podcast) to John Fugelsang and Julianna Forlano.

A must see: Les Misérables. My brother David said the Broadway musical pushed all the right buttons and certainly this film clip does too, with the haunting "I Dreamed a Dream" [sung by Anne Hathaway] and those great cinema angles.

One to bookmark: comedian Paula Poundstone's Live Diner Cam. She and her family own 16 kittehs, in part because of her daughter working at a cat rescue center. Portland's Carl Wolfson of KPOJ Radio interviewed her the other day. Funny lady and cute kittehs. (She sometimes bends over sidewise to get into the picture to do a live show from the diner cam, with the cats getting in her way.) Enjoy:

Tina and Chandi - Britain's Got Talent 2010 - Semi-final 2

LOVE this dog and owner dancing act -- JOYOUS and worth under three minutes of your time. With all the political / environmental happenings one NEEDS something like this. Heart-hugging!
